Lisa is a Massage Therapy graduate from Island Career Academy’s Class of 2015 and is a member of the Massage Therapy Association of Nova Scotia. She’s an active gal with passion for music, dance, yoga and lately has taken an interest in running and swimming. Lisa has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from St. Mary’s University, majoring in Global Business Management and has experience working in business development, management and consulting. In earlier years, she worked as a full time musician (fiddle/percussion) and step dancer/instructor, touring nationally and abroad.
A decade of desk work brought frequent headaches and constant neck pain of which massage therapy provided great relief. She welcomed a change in focus to study anatomy, physiology, clinical assessment and a wide range of conditions. During this time she also focused on making lifestyle changes to improve her own health. Through improving her posture, increasing her activity level and lots of massage therapy, she’s never felt better and looks forward to a long career of helping her clients achieve their health goals as well.
